Self Education
“Self-education is, I firmly believe, the only kind of education there is.”
- Isaac Asimov
One of the most underestimated acts today. Self-education in comparison to “official” stuff like faculty or PhD studies is not respected nor recognized. General public has to be freed off the invisible stigma which marks self-education as a dis-functional waste of time.
Self-education like any other fundamental day-to-day activity should be supported by institutions. It is ridiculous to institutionalise self-education, that would be like institutionalizing anarchism or founding the academia of sex and reproduction, which is nonsense.
Nanos gigantium humeris insidentes.
Why reinvent the wheel? Self-education is there and it’s functioning. Every individual have its own learning/living concept – that should be no less than respected. I think that affirmative, warm and open infrastructure is sufficient for non biased education and development. We are that responsible generation which has to act pro-actively and provide neutral&open by-design future environment which respects the value of self-education.
